Traditional Thai Massage & holistic therapies now available at Kombat Group resort • Kombat Group

There is nothing better than finishing a full day of training with a massage to loosen up those well-worked muscles. As we always have our guest’s best interests at heart, we now have a massage therapist on site and offer one free massage to every person staying with us.

At our dedicated massage cabin at Kombat Group, different types of treatments are available to you. Below, you’ll find some information on each of them to help you choose. Or maybe you like to try out all of them and make up your own mind, which one you like best.

Traditional Thai Massage

The traditional Thai massage is well known and appreciated all over the world. In fact, it is the number 1 choice amongst our guests and it is ideal right after an intense workout or in the evening before a well-deserved night of rest.

Using all the knowledge that has been passed on throughout many centuries, the body is arranged into different positions. An array of methods is used to relax and realign energies in the body. People jokingly call it, “Lazy man’s yoga” as it gives you all the benefits of an hour-long yoga session without having to do any of the work yourself.

Our massage specialist will use hands, elbows, knees and feet to apply pressure to your energy lines (“Sen”-lines). This helps to improve circulation and increases muscular flexibility. Be prepared that during the whole process, some actions might feel a bit uncomfortable; especially the first few times, when your body is not yet used to it. But we promise you, it will be worth it. You’ll feel amazing right after and will most likely already start considering which day to book your next appointment.

Oil massage / Aromatherapy

The oil massage is based on the principles of the traditional Thai massage with the difference that oils are applied during the whole process. There is less pressure applied to individual points of the body, while it generally has a positive impact on blood circulation and the lymphatic system. The goal is to get the whole body fully relaxed and this massage can offer great relief from back and muscle pain as well as help with joint problems.

During an aromatherapy massage, scented essential oils are used in addition to the base oil. These oils can offer more benefits such as being calming, relaxing, energising, anti-inflammatory, and so on.

It is believed that inhaling the aroma of these oils can stimulate brain function. Furthermore, they can be absorbed through the skin and travel through the bloodstream, thus promoting healing to the whole body.

Head and neck massage

Is it your first week at Kombat Group and you are still feeling the effects of your jet lag? In that case, a head and neck massage might be just what you need.

This type of massage is perfect to help you relax in the evening before a good night’s sleep or in the morning to give you an ideal start into a new day. It relieves neck pain and rids you of any tension headaches you might have. After you leave the massage room, you’ll definitely feel well rested and rejuvenated.

Foot massage

Maybe you have spent your weekend doing hours of walking to check out some nearby tourist attractions in the area? Or your feet could use some tender loving care after all those boxing and jump rope workouts? Then a foot massage will feel heavenly to you!

During this type of massage, your feet are kneaded thoroughly with the help of hands and a wooden stick. Besides the obvious benefits for the feet themselves, this type of massage also can help you out with a lot of other issues. By applying pressure and massaging certain reflex points, different areas of the whole body can be positively influenced such as boosting your immune system and accelerating healing. It can also help very well with different kinds of chronic pains and assists your body in regaining its natural balance.

So, whenever you feel like treating your body to something special, just come to our reception and book an hour of blissful relaxation! You will come back out refreshed and energized and ready to take on the next training session.
